KBS Renews Its AACSB Accreditation for Business Education for Four Consecutive Times

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) is an independent assessment organization established in the United States in 1916 to assure, maintain, and improve the quality of management education. As of April 16, 2020, there are 874 business institutions in 56 countries and territories that have earned an AACSB accreditation.

The Graduate School of Business Administration, Keio University (KBS) was granted its AACSB accreditation in 2000 as the first institution in Japan. Since then, KBS has passed the reaccreditation reviews held every five years. Accordingly, KBS became the only business school in Japan that has achieved AACSB reaccreditations four consecutive times. It is our honor to have another confirmation that KBS has been maintaining its education and research content at the global-standard level.

As an AACSB-accredited institution, we are collaborating with business schools worldwide to lead the way in an increasingly complex and globalized society, driving advancement in joint research projects, faculty networking, international student exchange programs, and double-degree programs, among other fields. We are committed to continue our efforts to strengthen research, education, and academic mobility activities, with the aim of instilling in students a wide range of management knowledge and an international perspective to transform them into leaders who create positive impacts in the world.
