KBS Renews AACSB Accreditation for Business Education for the Fifth Time in a Row

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (hereinafter AACSB) is an independent assessment organization established in the United States in 1916 to assure, maintain, and improve the quality of management education. AACSB is the world's largest network and global standard-setting body for business education. Its accreditation is recognized worldwide as the highest standard of quality, with only 6 percent of the world's leading business schools achieving AACSB accreditation and displaying the prestigious seal. AACSB-accredited schools are trailblazers in teaching, research, and societal impact.
The Graduate School of Business Administration, Keio University (KBS) was granted AACSB accreditation in 2000 as the first institution in Japan to achieve this distinction. Since then, KBS has successfully passed all reaccreditation reviews held every five years. We are pleased to announce that KBS has recently been reaccredited as a result of its latest review in 2025.Consequently, KBS has become the only business school in Japan to have achieved AACSB reaccreditation for the fifth time in a row. We are honored to receive this reaccreditation, confirming that KBS continues to maintain its education and research at a global-standard level.
As an AACSB-accredited institution, we are collaborating with business schools worldwide to lead the way in an increasingly complex and globalized society. This collaboration will drive advancement in joint research projects, faculty networking, international student exchange programs, and double-degree programs, among other fields. We remain committed to strengthening our research, education, and academic activities. Our aim is to instill students with a wide range of management knowledge and an international perspective to transform them into leaders who create positive impacts on the world.
