Important Note
At KBS, degree programs are conducted in Japanese. Since our programs are discussion-based, students will be required to have high language proficiency in Japanese. More specifically, students whose native language is not Japanese must have at least JLPT N1 to join discussion in class.
When you contact your preferred professor to obtain his/her informal acceptance to supervise you, please describe your language proficiency in Japanese added to other necessary information. To demonstrate your command of the Japanese language, we advise candidates to write to faculty members in their own words in Japanese, and to refrain from using automated translation tools.
DO NOT request a "Letter of Acceptance" to faculty members, since they are not responsible for issuing them.
