【MBA】授業科目「Uncertainty and Management of Organizations（不確実性と組織のマネジメント）」を終えて

2025年9月11日から11月13日の全9回(計18コマ)にわたり、清水勝彦教授の「Uncertainty and Management of Organizations（不確実性と組織のマネジメント）」を受講しました。

本講義は、地政学リスクや技術革新などによって不確実性が高まる現代社会において、組織や個人はどのように意思決定し 行動すべきかを、議論を通して学ぶ講義です。 講義内では、レベンダリーカフェや貿易摩擦に関するケースを題材にディスカッションを行い、受講生によるグループ単位でのケース作成・発表などを実施しました。

受講から得た最大の学びは、常日頃から試行錯誤を繰り返し、意思決定の決断力と精度を高める重要性です。 以前は、不明瞭な状況で素早く決断するには、自分なりの思考スタイルを持つことが重要だと考えていました。しかし、むしろ思考の固定パターンに依存することは、環境変化の兆しを見逃し、同じ失敗を繰り返す原因になり得ると気づきました。

加えて、本講義では、海外の著名なMBAプログラムから多くの交換留学生を迎え入れ、多様な視点が交差する活発な議論が展開されました。KBSには、全編英語で実施されるクラスも多く設置されており、日本にいながら国際性豊かな学習環境に身を置くことができます。
本講義を通して、経営学に加えて国際的な視野を大きく広げる貴重な経験を得ることができました。

From September 11 to November 13, 2025, I attended all nine sessions of Professor Katsuhiko Shimizu's class, Uncertainty and Management of Organizations. The class explores how organizations and individuals should make decisions and take action in an era of heightened uncertainty driven by geopolitical risks and rapid technological advancements. During the course, we engaged in discussions on cases such as the Levendary Cafe and trade friction, and students also conducted group-based case writing and presentations.

The most important insight I gained was the need to continually sharpen decision-making through repeated trial and error to strengthen both decisiveness and accuracy. Before taking the class, I believed that having a personal decision-making style was key to acting quickly under ambiguity. However, I realized that relying too heavily on fixed thinking patterns can cause one to overlook early signals of environmental change and repeat the same mistakes.

The class also brought together exchange students from leading international MBA programs, creating vibrant discussions enriched by diverse perspectives. KBS offers extensive exchange partnerships with top global schools, enabling students to benefit from a highly international learning environment while studying in Japan, with many courses conducted in English. Through this class, I not only deepened my understanding of management but also significantly broadened my global perspective.
